Meet The Practitioners
Meet Dr. Michelle Roy, PT, DPT, LMT, CF-L2 (she/her)
I am Dr. Michelle, owner of Centreboard Physical Therapy and Massage. I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a Pelvic Health specialty, a Licensed Massage Therapist, a CF-L2 certified trainer and a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach. I am certified in the Clinical Management of the Fitness Athlete: Pregnancy and Postpartum through the Institute of Clinical Excellence and I am a certified BirthFit Leader. I have clinical interests in working with the perinatal population, women with pelvic floor dysfunction, CrossFit athletes and active, aging adults. I especially love when those worlds collide! I am passionate about continuing to expand my skills and knowledge in all of my clinical interests and I am constantly seeking out continuing education opportunities to grow as a clinician.
I enjoy providing education and sharing my knowledge and passion for movement, health and physical wellness through a variety of professional outlets. I feel strongly about the power of movement and therapeutic touch in enhancing well-being and health and their ability to ultimately serve a role in improving mental health. The current state of the world has made it abundantly clear how necessary it is to take care of ourselves. Movement, therapeutic touch and self-care can help. I have been working hard to promote physical well-being as a conduit to facilitating improved overall health in my patients, clients and athletes for 12 years.
My preference in PT is to apply both hands-on AND an exercise-based approach, with special attention on teaching patients which muscles to strengthen and how, while improving muscular symmetry and enhancing physical performance to reduce pain and dysfunction.
As a massage therapist also, I place a high value on the power of manual therapy to address the issues and injuries of my patients and clients.
My husband, Kevin, and I love spending time with our dog, Sarah, our son, Coen, and daughter, Adwen, in our home in Gray, ME. Coen’s arrival on February 18, 2022 changed our lives and Adwen’s arrival in September 2023 has made our hearts grow even more. When I am not working, you can find me spending time with my growing family at home or upta camp, and exploring Maine, watching our kids explore the world.
Meet Dr. Sean Jeffrey, PT, DPT (he/him)
A native of Rhode Island, Sean moved to Maine to pursue his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of New England, graduating in 2017. He quickly developed a deep appreciation for the state's scenic landscapes and the welcoming spirit of its community. Specializing in orthopedics, Sean has pursued extensive postgraduate training in dry needling, manual therapy techniques, and the complexities of exercise science. His clinical approach is rooted in a holistic, whole-body philosophy that transcends standard stretches and routine exercises. Sean is a passionate advocate for patient education, taking great care to ensure that those he treats have a comprehensive understanding of their specific conditions and the logic behind his personalized care plans. He thoughtfully integrates his clinical expertise with insights gained from his diverse personal background in Yoga, Crossfit, and martial arts.
Outside of his work at the clinic, Sean prioritizes time in nature, whether he is gardening, visiting the beach, or exploring the woods alongside his wife, Jenn, and their dog, Mara. To maintain his own health and well-being, he stays physically engaged through strength training, hockey, and cross-country skiing. His curiosity and appreciation for balance extend to his personal interests in music, cinema, and the culinary arts, which nourish both his mind and spirit.

Meet Bridgett Wooten, PTA (she/her)
Bridgett is a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant with a strong clinical interest in pelvic floor rehabilitation, gait mechanics, balance training, posture, and core strengthening. Driven by a desire to help patients regain meaningful, functional movement in their everyday lives, she brings both intention and enthusiasm to her patient care.
A graduate of Kennebec Valley, Bridgett continues to give back to her alma mater by serving on the PTA Academic Advisory Board. Her journey with Centerboard began during her clinical education experiences under the mentorship of Michelle and Rita. Through that opportunity, she developed a deep appreciation for the practice’s collaborative environment, patient-centered treatment philosophy, and commitment to providing whole-patient care, making her thrilled to now be an official part of the Centerboard team.
With a lifelong fascination for anatomy and the body in motion, Bridgett seamlessly integrates a holistic approach into her rehabilitation work. She is a Yoga Alliance certified RYT 500 instructor with years of experience teaching and practicing yoga. Her diverse background—which spans yin, vinyasa, mindful meditation, and advanced studies in prenatal and accessibility yoga—allows her to thoughtfully incorporate movement, breath, nervous system regulation, and the mind-body connection into her clinical practice. Passionate about lifelong learning, she continuously deepens her clinical expertise through both formal training and lived experience.
A Maine native who grew up on the Midcoast, Bridgett has called North Yarmouth home for more than 20 years. She enjoys balancing life as a mother and small business owner while staying deeply connected to her local community. Outside of the clinic, Bridgett stays active by paddleboarding, teaching and practicing yoga, and hiking or trail walking with her Australian Shepherd. Her diverse personal interests range from reading, listening to podcasts, and growing her extensive plant collection, to tinkering on engines. Embracing a philosophy of lifelong curiosity, she also studies Vedic philosophy and Jyotish (Vedic astrology), expanding her perspective on rhythm, balance, and overall well-being for both the body and mind.
