Meet Dr. Michelle, PT, DPT, LMT, CF-L2

I am Dr. Michelle Roy, owner of Centreboard Physiotherapy and Massage. I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a Pelvic Health specialty, a Licensed Massage Therapist, a CF-L2 certified trainer and a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach. I am certified in the Clinical Management of the Fitness Athlete: Pregnancy and Postpartum through the Institute of Clinical Excellence and I am a certified BirthFit Leader. I have clinical interests in working with the perinatal population, women with pelvic floor dysfunction, CrossFit athletes and active, aging adults. I especially love when those worlds collide! I am passionate about continuing to expand my skills and knowledge in all of my clinical interests and I am constantly seeking out continuing education opportunities to grow as a clinician.

I enjoy providing education and sharing my knowledge and passion for movement, health and physical wellness through a variety of professional outlets.  I feel strongly about the power of movement and therapeutic touch in enhancing well-being and health and their ability to ultimately serve a role in improving mental health. The current state of the world has made it abundantly clear how necessary it is to take care of ourselves. Movement, therapeutic touch and self-care can help. I have been working hard to promote physical well-being as a conduit to facilitating improved overall health in my patients, clients and athletes for >11 years.

My husband, Kevin, and I love spending time with our dog, Sarah, our son, Coen, and our new baby girl, Adwen, in our home in Gray, ME. Coen’s arrival on February 18, 2022 changed our lives and Adwen’s arrival in September 2023 has made our hearts grow even more. When I am not working, you can find me spending time with my growing family at home or upta camp, and exploring Maine, watching our kids explore the world.

Meet Dr. Lori, PT, DPT

I am Dr. Lori Joseph, originally from Los Angeles, CA. I moved to Maine in 2016 for graduate school at UNE. As an undergraduate, I studied Nutrition and Physiology at U.C. Berkeley. My clinical interests include working with young athletes, balance issues in the aging population, postural correction, and managing chronic pain. I have a strong background in manual therapy and use techniques such as counter strain, myofascial and trigger point release, joint mobilization, and manipulation.

I found my passion for physical therapy as a patient myself and have been able to apply my on-the-job experiences to improve my own physical abilities. There is nothing I enjoy more than helping someone return to the activities they love.

I firmly believe in the interconnectedness of physical and mental wellbeing and I am dedicated to promoting overall wellness. This commitment is reflected in my practice, where I integrate stress management, nutrition, and holistic strategies to address each patient in a comprehensive manner.

Outside of work, I lead an active lifestyle, enjoying activities like travelling, hiking, boxing, yoga, long boarding, and paddle boarding. Other interests include shooting pool, reading sci-fi novels, and relaxing with my fiancé and our Maine Coon cat.

I am very excited to work with and learn from Michelle as I step into my new role here at Centreboard!

Meet Jen, MS, LMT

Jennifer is a health and wellness professional with over 25 years of experience. Since receiving her massage therapy license from New York State in 1998, her experience over the years has allowed her to bring many modalities to her practice. These include Swedish massage, medical massage, sports massage, PNF stretching and with her extensive knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology, individual treatment plans will be more comprehensive.

The last fifteen years her focus has been working with the older adult population as a Fitness Manager at a retirement community in NJ before moving to Maine.  As well as managing the fitness department including the aquatic center, personal training, massage therapy and exercise classes, Jennifer also brought Pickleball to the community as well as the Walking Club.

Jennifer thrives on whole body wellness and feels this partnership with Dr. Michelle will be a positive experience for both existing clients and new clients.
